Sounds good..

Arr, I do have access to the ROMS (I imagine you are refering to the OS and
BASIC ROMS), in my beeb (B), and suppose I could transfer them to my PC.

Ive not been able to download BeebEM yet, as I keep getting a msg saying
file
could not be found. However I will try later, between 11pm and ..am
as you note
on you http page.

Is it a simpl(ish) task to get the software up and running as long as I have
acces to the Beeb SW and ROM code, and is there notes anywere on how
to do this.

If I get BeebEm going, and I tranfer any of my been programs to my PC, will
beebem run them from my HD or would I have to set up a tape loader?

I'm sorry if I am asking loads of questions that you have answered many many
times before (if so is there a FAQ file anywhere?).

Regarding Acornsoft, I imaging that you (and/or others) have approached them
many times reguarding useing the code from the ROMS in emulator software,
and
fail to see what their problem could be unless they are intending releasing
a
emulator themselves (which I doubt), or a Acronsoft PC Games Pack (Mmmm...I
doubt that either). The only other possible reason I can see is if they
thing
the BBC may make a Big comeback (double Mmmmm!).

I'd be interested if you have the email address, or http site for Acorn
so that
I could get in touch with them.

No not at all, it just seams that I will have to do a little extra work
to get
the thing running.

I noted that you are at The Uni of Brum doing a PhD(yes?), I hope you are
enjoying it. I finished my Physics degree there 4 years ago and still
pop back
now and again to visit people.

I thank you in advance for any further information/advice you can give me on
trying to set up a Beebem to do what i want with it, and double thank
you for
your time.
