Subject: Snapshot formats

I don't have anything to add to the memory snapshot debate, but what 
about some kind of standardised disk image format?

On a related note, what about the copyright status of BBC games? My
emulator is certainly being written mainly for playing those old
classic BBC games, and it would be nice if people were able to
distribute standardised disk images of BBC games (like with the C64
and Spectrum FTP sites). As far as I can remember there hasn't been
any new commerical BBC software for about 3 years now, and certainly
no games, so I can't see many people being too worried. Anyway, I
think most of the old BBC software companies have either gone bust or
moved on... :-) 

I would be interested to hear what people have to say about this.
