Yes, the emulator initialises all the ROMS o.k. and gives me the > prompt.
It just seems really weird that it processes the first newline o.k. but not
anything else after that.
Should location &EC have &49 or &C9 stored in it when the Enter key is
pressed?

I'll look into it further if I get time this weekend.

I have been using the source code to 4 different BBC emulators as a
reference to help me write mine. One thing I have noticed is that they are
all written differently, especially in the VIA areas. It's very hard to
know what is correct and what is not.
