Subject: Beeb Tapes & Decoding them

Hi all,

!6502Em and its associated !Tapes software does the decoding of BBC
tapes as you discuss.

!Tapes samples from the parallel port through the same interface as
used by Z80 on the PC. The file from this is output to disc as Raw
sample data.

This data can then be processed by !Tapes to output a file that can be
read into !6502Em using the existing OS tape code.

I didn't program either of these two bits of the code, so I am the
wrong person to ask about this, but if you have specific questions, I
can direct them at the programmer(s) concerned.

So, yes, what you are discussing is possible.
