Also, the traffic on this list is not that big. I can understand it if
those of you paying for mail want to keep it to a bare minimum of highly
relevant messages, but until junk mail really gets to be a problem on the
list, subscribers should be happy there's activity at all. I put the
mailing list address on my page (with a warning for people to be
considerate) - developers, please let me know if you think this is
inappropriate. There are about 120-130 accesses to my page a day.
And I also agree with the original suggestions in the sense that some sort
of standardization should be made. Now, no two emulators support common
file or file system formats - except ROM files. How the user selects disk
images and whatnot is of secondary (or even less) importance, though, I
agree with Chris there. (With BeebWin, I've set up a simple 4DOS BAT file
to let me type "beeb welcome.ssd", and it will start BeeWin with the correct
disk image, in single or double sided mode, depending on the extension.
Such hacks are easily made to circumvent bare-bones interfaces.)
>Phil (who wasn't having a bad day until he read Chris' message).
Ooooh... that's sad... ;-)
