I know exactly what this feels like - I faced a similar loss way back
when...

Still - it's given you incentive to start again and incorporate all those
neat and nifty ideas that you really wanted to fit into the old version,
but were too invasive to retrofit :-)
As for instruction sets, my fairly faulty memory seems to recall that
there is a list of opcodes on the web site at
http://www.OiT.co.uk/~james/BBCMicro/
in the documentation section. Roms I can try to dog you out, but I don't
have them handy. Have you tried the Acorn site? I heard rumour that they
had finally been released to the world at large...
