Subject: filing system help
I'm trying to get the filing system on my emulator sorted out, and I'm
having some problems. Would someone with a BBC be able to help me with
these points?
1. When setting PTR# of a writeable file past the end, is the length
extended immediately or only when something is written to it? Is the file
extended with zeros or are the sectors left as they are?
2. When setting PTR# of a writeable file past the end, is the EOF
condition true for that handle?
And, does anyone know if the spool/exec file handles are separate from
the main ones?
I *think* those are lal the questions required, so if anyone would be
able to oblige with some results from a real BBC (any DFS, preferably
Acorn if possible) I'd be most grateful.
