Subject: Disk Based games
Back at home I have the bbc disc verison of revs, ravon skull, castle
quest, elite I have manged to copy this
with a special disc copier on the bbc on to spare discs and discovered
that the protecton of these involves the
use on none formatted tracks. I have formatted these on my copies with
disc doctor and the games are now
are copiable with backup and run. The only problem with them is that
they will have to be run from disk image
as the people who have written casttle quest have made there own custom
catalogue which loads some files
and the elitle disk version needs a ?.????? file in a particular place
on the disk to load + a certain number of
free bytes on disk. Is there any way i can run these if I transfer them
on an emulator, If I can will they only be
runnable in disk image form? Currently I am runig these on an Amiga as
I do not posses or have acess to a pc
with 5.25inch drive. I am obtaing a catweasel for my miggy so I can acccess
strange formats and am wodering
if anybody has written a disk dumper for the amiga or a util which will
read bbc discs? Then I can make them
available.
