Well, the easiest way I can think of (if you have Windows 95) is to use 
Laurie Whiffen's great little BBC Explorer program. You can get it from 
this link:

Another way is to use the *copy <source drive> <destination drive> file(s)
command. There are also *backup and *move commands which can be used to
transfer files although the *backup is used to copy complete disk images
and will delete all files on the destination disk.

You can type *help dfs or *help utils to get info on all DFS commands
available for the DFS you are using.
