Have you got the ELITE.IMG copy of elite from Ian Bells web site?  This
works fine!  Start with the basic BBC configuration, which is the
default in the EMULATOR.CFG file when you unzip pcBBC.  Alternatively
delete EMULATOR.CFG and a new default one will be created nex time you
start up.  The only thing you may have to change is the FDC setting to
8271, if you're using an 8271 DFS.

Probably do need converting.  Sounds like these are for Tom Seddons
emulator, which uses a non-standard disk image format.
